LALITHA WEMEL

Lalitha Wemel is a community and innovation culture expert with over 14 years of experience across the US, Europe, and APAC. She is currently the Global Director of Engagement for Community at Techstars; the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed. Based in Kuala Lumpur, she leads a diverse global team in delivering world-class community experiences, programs, and partnerships that are active in over 150 countries.

Her work with Techstars has allowed her to impact thousands of early-stage entrepreneurs and corporate intrapreneurs in taking their ideas from inspiration to reality, leveraging technology, education, and connections. Google For Startups, Temasek, and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are a few of the APAC partners she has worked with in the delivery of community and innovation culture programs.

She is greatly passionate about creating opportunities for women in entrepreneurship as well as leading action to prioritize founder mental health and wellness. You can listen to her on the Happy Messy Humans podcast, the raw truth of the human side of entrepreneurship.
