YC joined AC Ventures as a Partner and oversees the ACV Mobility Fund (SEA Frontier Fund LP). YC has carried senior leadership roles on both sides of the table as an entrepreneur and an investor across Europe and Asia over the last decade; notable investments include Qoala, Bukukas, Carsome, Xendit, Yitu and Airbnb.

YC graduated from Cambridge University with a BA and MA in Economics and had previously competed at National-level basketball and scrabble. He speaks English and Bahasa fluently and is proficient in Mandarin.

Starting his career in Barclays Capital where he helped multi-national corporates, global agencies and governments to raise financing in fixed income markets, YC built and sold his first ecommerce business in the UK to Essilor/MyOptique Group in 2015. Leveraging his experience as a founder, YC joined Potential VC as a Partner where he led investments into early-stage ecommerce, marketplace and SaaS businesses in Europe. Returning to Asia at the end of 2016, YC led global technology investments and partnerships at Sinarmas Group and Latitude Venture Partners in Indonesia, with a particular focus on fintech, AI and healthcare sectors. In 2019, YC joined Rukita, Indonesia's largest co-living startup, as CFO where he led sales, finance and HR to scale the company to its first $3m in revenues.
